When outdoor greens across Moray close for the season, our hall fills with four indoor carpets and the bowling carries on - warm, dry, social and every bit as competitive as you want it to be.
How it works
Short, sharp and sociable
Winter carpet bowls is played on portable indoor mats - the same skills as the outdoor game, condensed into a faster, closer format. League nights run through the week from October to March, with teams rotating across our four carpets and the bar open afterwards.
You don't need to play outdoors to join the winter league - plenty of our winter bowlers never touch grass. Equally, it's the perfect way for summer bowlers to keep their eye in. Beginners slot straight in: the format is forgiving, the company is not remotely serious, and someone will always talk you through your first night.
